Fantastic Writers in A1 by Mrs Owen

We have 6 very creative writers in A1- Suhawna, Chloe, Pareeya, Ashly, Abbie & Antonia who have entered the NIE Daily post competition for the story 'Hampered' that we have been studying recently. Good Luck girls- we hope to see your work published in the paper. They are going to create a Youblisher publication so they can share their work with you. So watch this space.

Hampered- Chapter 7 by Chloe

Making Maxwell Stick To The Contract

ANZAC Biscuits by Abbie

On the 27 of Apirl A1 made ANZAC biscuits. First Mrs Owen called up a few groups at a time and we made a batch for each group. My ingredient I put into the bowl was the flour. We got to roll out your own biscuits. They tasted yummy I wish I could do that again next ANZAC day. Oh that is right I am not going to be at Glenholme next year.

ANZAC Day by Mrs Owen

A1 completed some thought provoking activities last week while they were learning about the meaning of ANZAC Day. This is a sad time in our history but a time to remember what others have done for our Nation and all the people who live in it. I enjoyed going to the ANZAC Parade & memorial service- I felt very humbled & remembered my dad who fought in WW2 in the Navy- he was in submarines. Here he is in his navy uniform.

Cycle Safety

On Tuesday after moning tea A1 went out to the school field to do Cycle Safety. The helper's were Mark and Patrick. My favourite activity was 'Instant Stopping'. We played the 'Box Game' 1 and 2.
